In the book on the history of Rome, Livy states : “Again, the monopoly of salt, the price of which was very high, was taken out of the hands of individuals and wholly assumed by the government. Imposts and taxes were removed from the plebs

It’s not a distaster but it is better to use made up names, like filmz, filmy, filmerz, filmstack .. the list goes on.

I can’t believe it’s 2022, we getting closer to fusion power, but we still need JS for something like this. Crazy! Hopefully the spirit of future christmas shows the w3c how to do this :)

Drupal 7 : great product, worked fine. Drupal 8 : “Let’s change everything including the module architecture.” Not a disaster if not for some critical modules that I needed, that took more than 3 years to be converted, at which point D9 wa

I wonder why people even do ddos attacks. What possible gain could there be from denying a service for a short while? Maybe competing webshops? It’s still seems overly childish to me. That said I never really looked into this.

I like to go in categories I like (a game or passtime like music) and randomly dish out subs with few viewers -if I like it of course- It’s a great way to support and meet people.

As someone who did a lot of debates in philosophy, most casual commenters are hilariously bad at discussing something. It’s like a wheel that wobbles from its axis and the wheel quickly comes of the axis. It’s not always a bad thing, some t

What are some the skills or things you know that make you successful in this new environment, if I may ask? I think I might be one of those, but I lack the contextual information/knowledge to act on it.

This article was 50 percent ads. What’s interesting is that MS is doing things that the EU already gave substantial fine for making a browser default.

I think I read these articles for the past decade. Although Pathfinder 1 will actually start tests in the beginning of next year, so that’s pretty good. It’s pretty green as a vehicle though once build.

This reminds me there was a time when affordances were all the rage in UI (early Iphone) and Steve Jobs was a fan, wonder if we get that back at some point.

Every time wealth disparity comes to the forefront in society the powers that be stamp that out real quick. I feel a lot of the left-right confrontations are just so we are pre occupied amongst ourselves. Divide and conquer and all that.
