It’s simply that it’s a kids/teen level argument. “But they did it too!” Not a lot of thought went into it, is what it usually tells me.

Tech also depended a lot on the zero interest backed money from investors. Now that interest is up, money costs money, so the situation as changed as well.

I worked with a trauma therapist and this was exactly what we worked on. The way out of trauma is to find out / realize that you’ve worked your way out of trauma. That the danger zone is gone.

I just bought it, the microphone doesn’t seem to do a lot (and I don’t gave access to camera) but I will try it out later. It’s a well thought app. The core function is really good, I will enjoy trying out the different exercises! The desig

I have to look that Geordi episode up. But I am mostly familiar with the later TNG era star trek, so I didn’t know it was written as self-aware in the early days. Some episodes do feature “bugs” where holographic actors become aware being i

I like to compare these models to the Star Trek main computer core. The computer on a starship is explicitly not self aware, but has to interface with humans through mostly voice comms. It has to give accurate information for ship operation

Intriguing question. Would it need large sets of hieroglyphic training data and is there enough of it? Or would a translation module be enough? a follow up question: could a chatbot teach you said language?

Q: Isn’t the filesystem of a system a sort of database? Not in the sense of a query back-and-forth, but in the sense of holding all file records and locations.

For some people, debating is personal, an attack on the person itself rather than the argument. So losing the argument is kind of akin to losing face yourself. People become emotional in such a setting. It’s a sign of over investing in a be
