Yeah the readme claims you can use this in an open source project. This is weird. An open source project that bundles this software (as a language implementation necessarily must) will _not_ remain open source. The only way a related work r

You're misunderstanding the point made. Open source Windows and Mac apps do not _bundle_ Windows or Mac. To understand the argument, consider the difference between a runtime dependency and a peer dependency in Node.js.

I agree with samatman. In what way can a work that has a proprietary work bundled in be called open source? It is different if the the work has a _peer_ dependency on the proprietary work. As it is, I seriously doubt that anyone wanting a q

This was probably it. Thanks. I think it's a gotcha to run a script with another runtime than the one I launched from the terminal, though. If I launch a script directly with a runtime, I expect it to disregard any shebangs.

I stopped using Bun, because it provides a nice API and just works and all, but it seems to be just a thin wrapper over Node, hiding the messy stuff underneath. I got some problems and it started leaking Node diagnostic messages all over th

It's kind of like how people who are really, _really_ good at something approach it with a certain simplicity and straightforwardness. Superficially, it looks like how a novice would approach things. But look under the covers they are

I'm not sure merely being quick to get to 60 mph is the measure of how good a car is. Maybe the core systems don't break down as much, and they are safer, but very modern cars are horrible in several ways: Uber-complex electronics
