I'm in this boat, currently subscribed and with the news of them potentially stripping out the AI offering from the $10 subscription tier, I might give DDG another shot. It just doesn't seem to surface much reddit content. I know

Does it index new reddit content? I refuse to use Google, DDG doesn't seem to surface much new reddit content. Currently settled on Kagi but the price is a little steep, happy to support EU based services.

I enjoy my Kagi usage but there are still a few things I use the !g or !gm bangs for. Shopping and finding locations is definitely one.

Cant tell if this is satire. But I'm not self hosting my passwords unless I fully understand exactly what's happening. Trusting that to an LLM without really understanding what's happening seems very risky to me.

But I do worry a bit about dying in a car accident, it's why I wear my seatbelt, drive safe, try to drive defensively. Adding both those risks together still is a higher risk than before...

People dedome their LEDs regularly these days for a different colour tint and beam profile. I never considered what it did to the thermal profile.

Yes! I used that antenna coverage functionality to plan my repeater locations. It worked well. I just picked up a T1000-E to take on holiday next week, interested if I see anything in the air of in Europe.

I tried meshtastic but there is literally nobody around me. It's like trying to get friends to use signal. I've moved to Meshcore recently and it gets me connected to the rest of the UK. But it took me 2 dedicated repeaters. I l

I thought the controls were a massive improvement compared to the New Super Mario Bros games. So much tighter, like the older Mario platformers.

Its funny how the best camera changes. Most of my photos used to be nature or random trinkets throughout life. Now nearly all my photos are of my little girl. I care way less about strict objective/subjective quality in comparisons an

This looks great. I might build on this. I use podsync for lots of my podcasts/Youtube. I absolutely love chapters and sometimes run them through an LLM. Transcript - > LLM timestamps - > Embed as mp3 id3 chapters.

I'd love some way for the prompt to work in a heirachy depending on complexity and confidence in the answer. Rather than wasting unnecessary expensive tokens on a task done cheaper. I.e. Local Model - > Cloud cheaper cost model - &g

Ive seen soo many BYD cars in the UK in the last year. I'm not in the market for a new car, but anyone who has looked recently what is the draw to BYD? Is it strictly value/price?

I don't self host Bitwarden so 90% of this doesn't really apply. I did however want to comment on the tab changing it's favicon and title everytime you change to another tab. Quite a cool "advertising" method for w

Yes and no. At a holistic level yes but for the product Noctua produces they've designed in a specific tip clearance which they want to maintain with the different pigments for their efficiency/acoustic targets.
