Everyone I know on Medicare does not like it and would prefer something else. I think people like Medicare like they like Comcast. They have it, it performs a service they want, they hate everything about it, and would never leave.

A gap on resumes is still a gap. I invest a lot of attention, time, and resources in new employees and want to attract and retain people for long periods of time. I cover this during the interview process. If someone only wants to work for

In the scenario described it’s not like feeding your family requires you to screw over your employer. I think ethics are required to feed my family as if I don’t act ethically, my family will end up starving.

Usually that will burn a bridge with that employer and look bad on your resume. Much different career wise than having short term contracts that are designed around a specific job. I know that companies don’t necessarily follow an ethical s

“ Tesla Model Y average used price has dropped” Wouldn’t this chart be more likely due to just Model Y being a relatively new car and more used coming into the market, off leases, etc. It seems silly to compare overall prices without compar

I’m not sure the number of wires chewed through by mice really affects the maintenance costs of any car. While possible, it’s rare enough not to register things like oil, filters, coolant, sparkplugs, etc and the massive amount of things th

Are they cheap though? I’ve been searching on AT and Craigslist and prices don’t seem to have dropped yet.

How is this relevant? Wouldn’t you just grant access to the single photo? Or just create an album with a single photo? The existing functionality was sufficient. This new functionality does not improve security.

If I authorize an app to scrape an entire album, that’s a good thing. This isn’t more security, this is google attempting to squeeze more monetization.

If they bought 3s for $40k then it’s way more than 25%. I’ve been looking for low price teslas and haven’t found a drop yet. But I hope it comes soon.

I hope you’re proven wrong. I suppose the good news is that there’s no report that this is malicious and it’s all just assumptions. That makes me happier than if there was some intentional shutdown. And fortunately, pubmed is up and running

Why are people assuming this was done intentionally? Is there more info somewhere describing the outage? I would typically assume that there’s some error or intentional crash.

> sell them at around 25% of their original value This does not seem likely as even by adding this many cars to the market, there’s no way they would sell at 25% of value unless there’s shenanigans.

I wonder if Apple will keep this open out of the kindness of their heart. Or all these unintended uses will result in them locking down their network. I guess all my Apple devices are looking for this and sharing it to Apple and wonder how

Companies that change their free tiers also change their paid tiers. I just don’t build my environment to rely on unstable companies. That’s sort of the comedy of second order effects as by reducing the amount of free stuff, I think Docker

I think it’s because google has such a super high margin on ads that everything else pales. So theoretically it’s better to focus attention on higher margin stuff. But hosting Deja forever should have been so cheap for them.

You are right. My point wasn’t that chicken and eggs are the same or even similar. What I wanted to convey is just because kids have a preference for something doesn’t mean it is better. So more a flaw in the syllogism.

I think you demonstrated that eggs taste different, but not better. My 2 year old would only prefer to eat frozen chicken nuggets. That doesn’t mean they are superior to actual whole chicken.

MySpace still exists. Due to the amazing economy of the web, hosting and operation costs are so low these properties can, and should, live on forever. This is why it always surprises me when a company kills off a site (eg, dejanews) claimin

I loved the Lone Wolf books so much and still remember the randomness grid in the back that I would use when I didn’t have dice in class. A lot of 7th grade loneliness was helped by these books.

Google glass looked stupid. So I think the biggest pushback was on people looking different, and not in a good way. These look very close to normal, so I think most people don’t even notice.

It’s funny seeing the forecast is for $9.67 in 12 months time. It reminds me how it’s so easy to project based purely on the numerical patterns and not including the external event that created the numbers.
