No, it's neither of those things IMO. (I've driven a lot in Australia and in the US.) The latter you mentioned sounds like a truck-specific rest-stop - there are loads of those on the Stuart Highway, or heading over to Eyre Penins

I'm in a different country, but I think drivers here are generally very reasonable. Very rare to see someone going well beyond the signed speed limit (unlike the US where it is shocking how much people speed). Always someone willing to

Pianos are a classic. We have a semi antique but untunable upright that no one would even take free. Would cost $200 to have it removed. Seems very wrong, but my current plan of action is to hack it up with an axe and slowly feed it out thr

I put cooking in this same sort of category, but over the years have noticed a lot of people on HN who seem to dislike cooking and have no interest in learning how. Maybe because it's such a regular imposition for them, it feels differ

The demand for it would be from a minority. A lot of people are watching content on their phones, for one thing. I create some travel video content and up until last year, most of my clients weren't even fussed about 4K. I had been sho

They went during a brief weather window. One of the people on board had suggested just prior to departing that this was likely to be the only trip the vessel made this season. Rough phrasing in hindsight.

I don’t think their goal is to make something to use along with heavy machinery. I’d say they’re leaving that market for other operators. All their promos (and of almost all their hardware) pitch a pretty consistent crowd.

The default front page is like reading gossip magazines. A lot of those subs appeal to base instincts (rage bait, etc) and are worth making a strong effort to avoid and ignore.

You could try Child of God? It's shorter than Blood Meridian and feels a bit less serious and rollicking, even though it's about a necrophiliac. Suttree and Blood Meridian are the elite tier, IMO.

In Australia at least, I'd guess that standalone homes are at the juncture of 'rentable' and 'appreciation of the base land' (which is usually what is rising in value). Land can be subdivided as lifestyles change. A
