I have a plex pass but moved to jellyfin, because I can't get plex to reliably stream from my server at all. While jellyfin works so smoothly. Look forward to this update!

For my personal “project” I’ve been using chatgpt to teach me from math (linear algebra) to quantum computing - asked it to create a big list of prompts optimal for single threads, for me to learn with Socratic method. I plan to write my n

Luna is great at doing targeted smaller work, I use sol max for creating a plan and targeted /goal prompts after I finalize the design. Or Claude with ultracode for design and planning and adversarial review by sol max and then delegat

Posted on the other thread too related to this I’ve been making interactive learning resources for myself - with wasm and browser simulation based labs (browser only interactive courses served from GitHub pages) to teach me topics from begi

I just gave a simple prompt to Kimi k3 when it came out, and then just using it and asking it to improve based on my own taste/gaps etc so it’s a long drawn out process. I’m doing that for the first one, will iteratively keep improving

Yeah I am not liking third one either. Mechanics aren’t working well for me either. I might get it redesigned - maybe by gpt this time lol

This is amazing. I also think this will become more common. I feel there is a lot of software that can just be served locally via html/typescript/react etc and even have local state. There's just not been an economic incentiv

For writing for human consumption, I’ve taken to hand writing the docs and having agents review and suggest improvements.

From Andrew’s post > Zig 0.16.0 is tagged. Release notes are just about completed and will be published in about 20 hours when the tarballs finish building. As it turns out, it takes a while to build LLVM 27 times on one computer! That&#

I’ve been making a project in zig 0.16 with Claude as a learning experiment. It’s a fairly non trivial project (BitTorrent compliant p2p downloader for model weights on top of huggingface xet) - whenever it doesn’t know the syntax or makes

Agreed. I tried cline but roo code has been massively better at same tasks. The added features are also really nice.

This is the exact problem I’ve been dealing with lately. As a dad of a toddler, can’t find any time for deep work for personal work. And that’s probably okay since family does take priority. Good strategies though, thanks.

Great article. The book Database Internals looks amazing. Are there any other such books that deep dive into internals?

Microsoft interviews are purely core CS stuff. I think even for 4-5 year experience guys they ask mostly data structures and algorithms.

Agreed. A product owner or a product manager is what people in OP's position usually go for. And they draw very high salaries from what I've seen. Companies must desperately want people in OP's position.

Your experience in building the startup is highly valuable. If you're going to look for a job, you will be most likely asked architectural and system design related questions, with Data structures and algorithms problems for screening

I've found podcasts to be incredible tools to induce sleep. It's very difficult to stay awake for me while listening to any podcast or audiobook. I really don't know how people do it.
