It’s funny this came up, because it was kinda similar to the whole “AI frauds” thing these days. I don’t particularly remember why, but “hand writing” fancy HTML and CSS used to be a flex in some circles in the 90s. A bunch of junk and stuf

Frankly the amount of outrageous deranged shit I saw on IRC and Usenet as a preteen kinda makes me conflicted on this point, whether the internet is "worse" today. Like, I had already seen the gaping asshole of goatse probably hun

My LinkedIn feed has been unrelentingly depressing recently, more than anything. Every time I log in it’s former coworkers posting about how they have been jobless for a year+ or posts like “I was diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer, goo

From my observations over the years a lot of “services” should literally just be features in stuff that already exists. Like Flink should have just been under MSK instead of the confusing mess it has gone through (first branded as part of K

The more mileage you get, the easier it is to see the mistakes in your old art (if you’re improving lol) The more refined your technique is, the harder it will be to discern mistakes and aesthetic failures. Eventually you might come to a po

Changing a pad/disc/caliper isn’t “hard” but it’s time consuming and very messy. Most people probably don’t find spending 2 hours getting the car jacked, tires off, etc to be a good or enjoyable use of time!
