Diet Coke isn’t even based on Coca-Cola, it’s a derivative of a truly wretched soda called Tab afaik. It’s genuinely a completely different drink.

The example is actually 2500 screenshots of a 3D rendered environment. An artist didn’t actually draw every single frame. Kinda misleading imo.

I think Terminal.app is extremely good personally, I’ve been using it for 20 years at this point. The only thing that seems consistently faster is Alacritty. I tried Warp and I wasn’t impressed at how it outputs text. I had some issues copy

I have twin girls and they’re not similar at all. I don’t believe the hive-mind hypothesis. TBH they do a lot of shenanigans to screw with people who aren’t familiar with them, like going by the opposite name. An elaborate cheating scheme s

I rode one on an international flight in 2007 that seemed like pristine stock from the 70s. Still had a weird lounge on the second floor, and those awful headphones that are just like piped-in music. The seats still had the little ash trays

What is MSN supposed to be these days? Like Google/Apple News? It used to be their dialup service, what a weird relic to keep floating around.

Bonds were invented in the 500 year timespan you’ve given. It’s a pretty hyperbolic claim lol

Actually COVID ruined my lifer plans, it absolutely demolished my previous company. Resulted in insane/pointless re-orgs and just killed the culture. It became so unpleasant I followed my current manager elsewhere. It's experience

I've made tons of good friends in online places over the years. Forums, AOL, MMOs, Discord. Heck I even met my wife through World of Warcraft. All these things are 'repeated' and 'casual' and online. They're no

Yes I have a former friend who is pretty far down the alcoholism spiral with seemingly “narcissistic” tendencies. He’s extraordinarily aggressive and abusive when he’s drunk, and lashes out at everyone. The thing is, now he claims he can’t

Yeah this happens all the time. Architects sell a 'Fusion Middleware' pile of nonsense that will magically solve all problems, and it doesn't work. One notable case is the Cover Oregon website, which literally never worked. R

The best recruitment spam I’ve ever seen was a 6 month contract in some awful backwater. It required “20 years of Linux experience” and “10 years of Xen development” I’m laughing just thinking about it.
