I personally think the existence of the Mac Studio and Studio Display precludes a big iMac. Especially if it’s just the same specs as the Mac Mini. Although a big iMac that could be specced from Mx Pro to Mx Ultra might be compelling.

The SSH console blew my mind when I first saw it. A coworker showed me ~# and it felt like discovering some kind of secret cheat menu you'd see in a SEGA Genesis game.

I worked for Atlassian prior to 2017 and they were indeed very anti-remote work, I don’t see how any of what you said contradicts that.

IIRC early on there was confusion because there were different runtimes/implementations? Then its thunder got stolen by Go and then Rust.

I feel the same way about Lexx. It’s awful, I’d never recommend it to anyone. But it’s also always very weird and interesting and the setting is fascinating. It feels like anti-utopian sci-fi. Like sci-fi for misanthropes lol

>postgres was always more advanced I don’t agree. WAL/replication was complete junk for a long time. Not to mention needing stuff like pgpool and pgbouncer in more complicated deployments.
