Most issues I hear about are missed calls during phone sleep, due to wake being too slow. This has been recently improved in most distributions: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mobile-broadband/ModemManager...

Note that the Pinephone only supports 2.4GHz, not 5GHz.

You're right. I would prefer no tracking, but am happy with having reduced the amount of tracking that occurs.

I use GNOME Maps for some things, but it doesn't do navigation. I think GPS is always included on all Pinephones: https://wiki.pine64.org/index.php/PinePhone#GPS_.2F_GNSS

I carry around a Pinephone with my personal SIM and use it for most personal activities. I also carry about a work phone, which I use for work, and personal activites that I can't yet do on the Pinephone (maps, chromecast, etc.) It
