Any time the idea of double entry bookkeeping comes up there is nothing but unanimous advocacy for it. This thread echoes the same sentiment where there's several comments about the importance of double entry. And yet like all previous

The obvious solution is to use a touchscreen with cheap plastic buttons that sit on the touchscreen and emulate touch.

Brave automatically changed my default search engine on private tabs to their search. I don't know if it was a bug or feature, but this kind of behaviour keeps me wary from committing.

Ok, I wasn't being very accurate. More correctly, we do not know why outer stars in the galaxy rotate at the same speed as inner stars. As per gravitation laws, the farther the star is, the slower it should rotate. But they all rotate

Confirmed against every experiment, but not observation. We do not know why galaxies rotate at the speed they do. Apparently we have a pretty good idea of their visible mass, but should result in much slower galaxies than what we observe.

I don't believe we have yet managed to conduct an experiment to detect dark matter. We have observations that seem to contradict Einstein, but no experiment that concludes. I believe a couple of experiments are currently underway, exci

You can easily hit 100k rps on a typical NOSQL cluster. Scaling it to 100 million is just a matter of running a few thousand instances. Of course, operating a system with thousands of nodes is an engineering feat, but from a design perspect

go sorely misses a standard logger interface, or a proper logger implementation in stdlib. I like a lot of tradeoffs the language makes, but being masochistic about using a plain Writer for logging is not one of them.
