Looks awesome, does it also record the pedal? Also I am worried that if it just records in MIDI, the output sound may be different from what I was hearing when playing unless I somehow have exactly the same sound banks as my digital piano.

UE5 supports fully path traced lighting and Black Myth Wukong is a recent example.

Hmm I watched the video [1] and in the games where it had an unambiguous improvement, the improvement in reflection quality is extremely stark and noticeable. Anecdotally, when I was playing Black Myth Wukong recently, there were some shiny

Basically every electric car gets about 75% of its advertised range though. Except maybe the Porsche Taycan.

The build quality of Chinese electric cars is generally pretty good. In the past "made in Germany" used to have derogatory connotations due to German goods being worse than British ones too. As for regulations, the BYD cars consis

The Dell Ultrasharp 43 4K monitor [1] has a mode where it pretends to be four monitors, one in each quadrant. > four unique FHD partitions via Internal Multi-Stream Transport (iMST) when connected to a single PC That's nice for peop

FYI nowadays 8K TVs support true RGB 8K 60 Hz over HDMI 2.1 with no chroma subsampling.

What's wrong with text rendering? > TVs may have a different subpixel layout than monitors, so small text may suffer fringing. As of writing the Samsung VA and LG IPS panels such as the QN800A have a conventional RGB or BGR subpixel

Modern TVs have decent input lag around 10 ms which is on par with professional monitors, but of course it will still be worse than gaming monitors. Lots of people game on their TVs. And most TVs have settings that disable postprocessing.

Yeah I have experienced all sorts of flickering and artifacts on Wayland, especially on nvidia. Recently it has gotten a lot better though.

Not that I know of --- it's a figure of speech to compare it to an standardized method of electrical wiring in buildings that eventually got replaced with better standards despite similar concerns at the time.

You can say that about any new standard. With that logic we'd all be stuck with knob and tube wiring.

Linux desktop is full of such jank. Fortunately, thanks to contributors like OP, the jank is gradually getting fixed. The whole point of Wayland is to eliminate a whole class of jank (screen tearing) that was essentially unfixable with X.

Multilingual keyboard input is such a mess haha. I need to type a lot of Chinese using pinyin and still haven't found a reasonably polished implementation on Wayland (Sway) that works on both Xwayland and true Wayland applications. So

If only it had higher pixel density. If there was a 43" 6K or even 8K screen I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But with only 4K I have to use all sorts of weird tricks with raster fonts to make the text in my terminals sharp. Also, too b

Just because it has taken 10 years longer than promised doesn't mean that it will never happen. FSD has made huge improvements this year and is on track to keep up the current pace so it actually does seem closer than ever.
