I read an article recently on "Patterns for dealing with uncertainty". It never ceases to amaze me how often these concurrency patterns apply to more antiquated business models.

I'm going to assume Haskell has the most asked questions because it's one of the most confusing languages.

Let's be straight.... Acquiring a company with 110K people is not creating 110K jobs. Those people had jobs before you absorbed them into your company.

That's awesome and it just goes to show how simple something can be that would otherwise involve a certain degree of concurrent (and distributed) programming. GenStage has a lot of uses at scale. Even more so is going to be GenStage Fl

Oh, one more feature request. I'd like to be able to verify the identity of people on Venmo.

I use it to sign my git commits. Never really thought about using it to share credentials but I might give that a try. Feature Request: I'd love an easier way to find the keybase accounts for my friends on twitter.

I've recently been looking into this topic. Sales teams have fairly straight forward metrics for measuring performance as they can track calls made, revenue, etc... Developer performance metrics are not as immediately obvious. Can anyo

Ah, I see this now: https://github.com/KDr2/erlix#about-the-class-erlixmessage . So I guess it is handling encoding. P.S. zeromq doesn't require you to run another system, it's just a lib.

I don't see any practical use for this. You're just sending text around. This breaks most OTP conventions, you lose insight from the Observer, etc.. If all you want is message passing you should just use something like zeromq whic

I'm not sure why anyone uses Facebook anymore. I think a better plugin would be to remove any posts that contain remote content. Then you are simply left with updates about your friends.

"Right now, it only works for Ruby 2.1.5; however, I'm slowly plugging away at moving forward towards Ruby 2.4." The irony. But in all seriousness, this is awesome.

Not sure what's up with the A/B testing though. Plus pricing seems to change between a slider starting at $29/mo and a flat $5/mo fee.

3G becomes saturated quickly as the number of devices on the network increases. I would suspect West Africa would have much less saturation than say New York City.
