When I had a startup I did personally email every user until we got to about 10,000 or so. Didn’t use a template, fired off a new email every time.

Before anyone gets too excited, keep in mind that the homicide rate for the US is 5 per 100,000, El Salvador (the highest) is 52 per 100,000, and Puerto Rico is 30... closer to El Salvador than to the US which isn't even that low.

The margins are pretty fat ($25/mo for hardware that costs $200) and unless they have a particular knack for finding petty thieves I expect that they will lose fewer than 1% of their tablets to fraud.

Revenue growth is great but enterprise tech companies can grow revenue long after they are as dead as a doornail. Lotus Notes (!) posted revenue growth in 2008 (!). Intel in some serious shit and the revenue numbers don’t change that.

You're being very polite to people who are being very rude. This gives me confidence in using you as a vendor and helps your brand immensely.

You can dream up all of these scenarios. But if you have a healthy business then a small number of people scamming you for Galaxy Tab's doesn't kill it.

I am a big fan of Alexa. It helps me keep track of things like timers, to-dos, grocery lists, etc. while taking care of a toddler and an infant. Is it World Peace or the Cure for Cancer? No but it's pretty cool.

Emojis have their place, but this article uses just literal emojis right next to the actual word they represent. It's pretty much the most pointless use of emojis that I have ever seen.
