The problem that comes to mind is that the site is required to grow in accounts in order to continue functioning. In the long term, you'd need to add additional sources of revenue.

perhaps you should do the math, 5 cents per user would be 2.81 billion * 0.05 = ~$7 million. They said in the earnings report they will spend $5 Billion this year on moderation. Feel free to file a complaint with the SEC.

Stop defending Apple! They have always handed over their Chinese users' data to the authorities. They were always willing to compromise user privacy to the state. They once had a marketing stunt where they wouldn't unlock an iPhon

I don't see why this is surprising at all. Apple has never cared about the privacy of their Chinese users. Privacy was never a principle for them, merely a marketing feature for technically illiterate westerners.
