Sorry in advance for the rant but i think it is fucking stupid to charge developers at all. Yes, it is nothing, but the principal itself leaves a sour taste. I am improving your platform, you are going to take 30% of anything made, and you

When considering the war on terror, and the threat to america/'the west', i think of how damn easy it would be for any one of us to cause at least double digit deaths, if we were determined[1]. And yet, there are extremely few of these even

I kind of agreed with your first post; patents mean that the inventor will share with the world how to make the invention. (although, i am generally anti-patent for several reasons; much too great scope and time-length especially for the

Not reading material as such, but i feel the need to shout out democracynow.org for some independent, intelligent news (Chomsky is often a guest). PS they are seeking donations!

Basically, we are seeing devices with an increased dynamic range WRT power. They are going to idle at similar power, and they will have better performance-per-watt, but at 100%, they will use more. IMO, this isn't so bad. Take it to it's ul

Raw power and efficiency are not unrelated. The key gain available today, other than process node shrinks, is being faster at the race to idle. If the CPU uses 1W at 100% and 10mw idle, then the quicker you complete your processing task the

Parent is talking about the GPU performance; there are six times more graphics cores. The use case for OUYA, a games console, requiring more graphics power is surely obvious.

And in doing so almost certainly netted CAH more profit via the free advertising than if they had paid $5 (which, they still may have done). TBH, i wouldn't be shocked if it was an inside job.

The site looks very good, but $122 monthly costs for getting your site to 'a few hundred' visitors (mostly friends) is crazy. Of course, the site works and looks good (all that really matters to the end users), if you are getting a large in

Lovely narrative, but there is nothing about the music! No examples, no mention of the direction the record will take. I suggest they fix this because it's just a call to charity without it.
