If you think apple are going to go out of their way to avoid obsolescence, especially over an all-in-one, clean experience, you have been watching a very different apple to me over the last 10 years. (and i have an iPod with a flat battery

It's not that they 'don't understand' it is that they don't WANT to be (seen as) a dumb pipe. Funnily, they quite like charging ~10c for a text message that costs ~0.0001c in data, etc. Price only competition isn't attractive. It's about ti

There are a lot of variables that need to be balanced.. high energy density (both mass and volume), decent lifetime (charge cycles, unused degredation), charge/discharge time, suitable voltage range, availablility of materials, non-tox

LiFePO4 is not a new (as in research) technology (i came across it when looking into eBikes).. It's just lithium ion battery with a lithium iron phosphate cathode. In practice, this means it trades a little power density for a little longer

The UK is definitely a special case cf. the rest of Europe. For one, there is common language to consider. Secondly, it appears the UK makes up the next largest userbase after the USA. It is as if to say 'why separate Canada from the US'. S

The question is not 'is it Germany's fault' but rather what is in the best interests of germany. The Euro failing is surely not. Particularly as Germany has unprecendented strength within the EU today.

This is not a simple issue. The costs of financing debt are going through the roof. Austerity is killing growth which becomes a vicious circle as tax receipts fall. So the German policy of waiting (however well reasoned) makes the problem w

You have somewhat proved my point in that some how 'pixel density' is often used as the go-to stat. It makes no sense to hold this in higher standing than the actual pixel count-- nobody is asking for smaller screens with the same resolutio

Why is it that people have so many diverse opinions that aren't fully informed when it comes to energy?? It may have one benefit, but 30 seconds on wikipedia informs me that it requires 5 times the mass and 20 times the volume of lithium io
