Django Unchained - Cloud Atlas - Looper - Argo - Easily the best movies I saw this year, they were all really, really awesome.

I agree with this article, typing the code out (as long as you are focusing on it and not just typing absentmindedly) really forces you to read all of the code, which should help you understand what is happening. Just as in the article I ha

My friend and I have been working on Protobowl, a realtime multiplayer quizbowl game. http://www.protobowl.com

It seems like sites like this are becoming more popular, or at least the idea of them is. This is the second one I've seen recently, the other is http://www.codewa.rs/ , this one looks interesting since it's for more languages than just ja

Sort of off topic but that app you linked, typing.io is really cool, thanks for sharing.

Wow, this is easily the strangest top post I have ever seen on hacker news. I actually can't stop laughing. I guess it's because most people just don't think about technology and sex in the same thought unless you are thinking about interne

I still don't understand how cases like this are brought up. It seems to me like random people are targeted at random times. I see stories like this every day, not about Darknet specifically but about rulings against file sharers and pirate

Yeah, this seems like pretty typical misuse of government money. Even if these radios are an effective investment why wouldn't they spend a couple million more and train the employees responsible for using them? It's pretty ridiculous in my

I have only been programming for about 2 years, but already in that time I have noticed an incredible amount of changes when I look back at my old code. Some of the things that I did back then were so dumb I'm not sure how it ever worked. I

Just plain wrong is all there is to say about this article in my opinion. That said I don't believe that style requirements need to be hyper rigid, they should just prevent people from writing code that is entirely unreadable for no apparen

This is exactly what I was thinking as I read the article. There really are "Crazy Coder's" out there who write obfuscated code just because they can and it's infuriating.

I saw the second video, which shows the sound and that is pretty cool. I don't really understand what the point of this is though. Why exactly would you want to sound like a horse while riding a bike, wouldn't that get very annoying? Also,

This is pretty awesome, I'm going to be using it for sure. As the title suggests I definetly think it is much better than the standard bootstrap modal. You should try to get this implemented into bootstrap. Good work.

The idea here though, as far as I can see, is for people who are lazy and presumably fat. A person like this (possibly the average American) has very little will power and wants to eat what they like. If tech like this existed they could fe
