Cost is definitely a factor, but I think the ease and convenience of a dog over the stress of children also plays a big role. Dogs are obedient and mature in less than 2 years.

Put the onus on the social media companies, then have a 3rd party investigate how much content is bypassing their own protections and then fine them. Give a kickback to those investigators to incentivize them to find more violations. Rinse

How does that make sense? Wouldn’t high interest rates and tariffs cause more expensive engineers to have disproportionate opportunity? I remember during 2008 it was much easier for my employer to justify junior engineers than senior ones.
