Ah interesting. In German the definition is based on the lack of vegetation, not the amount of rain

Germany does have a desert, though tiny(only second largest in Europe) and made by a forest fire followed by tank tracks over decades of training. https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lieberoser_W%C3%BCste

Yeah same, I additionally do nightly rsync copies of my nextcloud to a second server in a data center and cleaning out all of the signal backups gets annoying after a while
124.
by pohuing 3y ago
That's just wrong. You can export your chats in a secure format, signal android even let's you do it on a schedule. Combine with a hosted file server like nextcloud or google drive and you have automatic fully encrypted backups

Idk what you're looking at but the download link for the community edition is right below the ultimate edition...

Plenty of hate under plain names on Facebook, been that way for a decade and I doubt it will change with ID verification.

Still are. I can't believe how everyone complains about MS's setup flow but gives apple an easy ok to their iCloud nagging for which you need to edit globalPreferences to disable it. Or the messed up mouse acceleration, or scroll

The world's best starcraft players got smashed by Deep minds AlphaStar a while ago. The only way to win was by limiting the apm. Turns out with perfect control you don't need very complex strategy. One of the games if you're

The comments on that article are hilarious. Never in my life would I have expected someone to complain about a lack of professionality in an emoji set. Since when are emoji professional?

Dart went from a full dynamic system to a statically verified traditional system with null safety.

No you're right, I misremembered. It is android that has a drag indicator for bottom sheets
141.
by pohuing 3y ago
You can see that it's draggable because there's a drag indicator at the top. That's what the small elongated oval is supposed to indicate.

On the opposite end. We in Germany keep them because the prospect of your car getting wrapped around the tree is a good reason drivers use to go slower. Flipside is I can read about drunk teens dying to them every couple of weeks :/

I wonder how much the culture you're used to matters for this. What if you grew up with right to left writing system. Should your switches have the off state on the right?
