There are a lot of ecommerce integrations with Royal Mail that have access to order data, it's more likely it's one of these 3rd party services selling off the details than it being Royal Mail

Ripple crypto doesn't own that name in any domain other than crypto so it can be used in other applications without an issue. The name makes a great deal of sense in this context since mmWave uses tiny waves; otherwise known as ripples
