I don’t believe your premise that such a large share of the available jobs are low skill that there is no room for people to move on to something better. If you look at fast food for example I’m seeing there are about 2.5 million workers w

The author seems to make a point of minimizing the crime of trying to commit arson with fire bombs because the perpetrators weren’t successful in burning the building down as a rational for why this was somehow an over reach. Seems like a

You seem to be trying to trivialize inflation by implying it is only effecting goods that are not essential, ie: chicken wings. The reality is the inflation has been broad across a lot of essential goods that a family needs. So to the ext

Unless the owner is letting the property sit empty it isn’t going to have an effect on the supply/ demand balance of housing. Where you live is always going to have financial consequences that can’t be ignored.

Wether a house is rented or owned by the person occupying it doesn’t effect the basic supply/ demand dynamics of the market. Punitive taxes on landlords isn’t going to cause housing prices to come down because the cause of high prices

Wether you like it or not owning a home is always an investment. Perhaps not a good one but an investment non the less. To act like there are two types of people and that one disadvantaging the other because of their preference is silly.

You can use whatever denominator you want but blind obedience to the law isn’t ever going to be a measure of safety.

Safety is measured in accidents per mile driven, lower being better. While there maybe a loose correlation strict obedience to the law is not in itself a measure of safety.

Wether a corporation owns the home and rents it out or the home is owner occupied their is still someone living there. That doesn’t effect the supply demand dynamics. Those families have to live somewhere. It may seem vaguely unfair that t

A government that takes on debt in its own currency like the US isn’t going to default except perhaps as a political stunt. The likely outcome is that they let inflation eat away at the debt until the ratio of debt to GDP is back to a more
