Here's the thing: gopher & gemini are, in a sense, like Facebook: extremely uniform. In that sense, they are not even BBSes, because it's practically impossible to convey self expression beyond text. Don't get me wrong: o

I second this. FrontPage was simple to used, produced ugly, but static and fast sites, everyone was happy. Wix is a monster to use, and it spits CPU eating offsprings.

Huh. I searched for the url before I posted. Interesting. There is a '//' in the previous URL, which is probably why I wasn't able to find it.

I've spent weeks trying to speed up a Wix site, and I barely succeeded. The amount of requests it made... no, Wix websites are all insanely badly done. I'm not surprised at all.

Don't do this. Registering the anchor is for back button compatibility; I'm so tired of spas and 'modern' js constantly breaking it.

HTTPS is brittle. HTTP is insecure, but will run forever. This move will literally kill the old web.

Because so many people would want to buy a random forgotten movie from the 90s that the prices can't be lower, than £3.99. Nonsense. It's already outrageously high if it's not an owning-type buy.
