Did you look at Factset's datafeed? I've found its reference data and symbology to be pretty reliable. Cusips will cost a lot with redistribution charges though. You're better off avoiding them if possible.

Nasdaq already makes more money on data licensing than on trading fees or IPO's. Each time a professional in the financial services industry wants real-time display data, for example, they have to pay Nasdaq a monthly fee. Nasdaq and N

I assumed it to be a joke, or at least referencing that a person with a "white-collar" job in NYC at times feels like they live more like the middle/lower class than the upper-class. For instance, New York City made significa

It’s crazy to think about the fact the the Oracle lock-in is so strong that even a company offering alternative solution to Oracle has taken so long to move off of it. I wonder if aws will use its learnings and start to offer consulting ser

I think you have a point, but I would probably point to Adobe as what Apple should have done in the cloud, or even something like Airtable. I think Excel is such a lock in for some industries and Google is already providing a free alternati

I guess is there a reason to believe Apple would be good at providing enterprise IT or infrastructure services, especially when its become hyper-competitive? Delivering to enterprise is usually about customizing 10-20% around edge cases ve

I'm no expert, but there definitely are similarities. You could design a temporal table where a change in a customer's email always generates a new row versus an update, or you could just be capturing a snapshot of time-series dat

I would say Zocdoc is the best example of B2C company tackling a regulated industry (healthcare) through a marketplace that I have come across. It does seem to me that more startups are tackling the professional services layer with B2B solu

I’d argue that even in NYC, people associate less value with equity compensation. But, when most of the multi-billion exits have happened in SV, isn’t this entirely justifiable?

Maybe the context of the answer is more valuable than the answer in this case? i.e. we have 95% coverage on our core IP and CI setup for all of our source code. But, we integrated X for that service to get off the ground quickly, which wil

I completely agree with this. But, also in think Google does have some advantages. Out of the box, their NLP algorithms seem much better than AWS’s offering. They also offer custom search as an api. I haven’t used it, but bigquery seems ver

I’m not sure I agree with the rule of two. Industries typically consolidate over time. Also, anti-trust rules typically prevent a rule of one. Several industries have had multiple competitors thrive though. Banking would be a good example o
