I used to call myself a owl too. Often I would be in a haze until late afternoon, then work right up until I went to sleep. Running a business with employees meant I had to shift to mornings (though no longer), but now I'm definitely

OP is totally correct for the most part. And knowing of his work (and having met him in 2007), he knows more than me about the passion it takes to get a project off the ground. That being said, there is the occasional point where a person

Not sure who PTC or EMC are... I worked at Bridgestone Golf for a few months (a tyre company that also made golf items, go figure), and because we were situated in their manufacturing plant, we were lucky enough to use SAP for our sales and

Last century perhaps. There is nowhere near as much social shaming for women with children born out of wedlock in current Western society. It would be a dubious act, morally and statistically, to predict the likelihood of maternity leave

Then ask for marital status from men as well - Master and Mister. Unfortunately, they are abbreviated the same way, and the honorific Master has fallen into obsolescence. Or just don't ask for it at all. I find it better to let the p

I reject the notion that asking (or not asking) for marital status affects gender equality, in our industry or in society, in any meaningful way.

I've also seen technical debt accumulate when teams choose to build upon an "MVP" when the MVP was in fact just a prototype. Not nearly enough code is thrown away at the start of projects.

Both Pin and Braintree go through NAB; they seem to be the only bank that's willing to deal with international payment gateways (not sure why exactly). I know you can go through their API directly, but I'm not sure anyone would w

To clarify, I've been many of these simultaneously, and I'm not sure that it's changed much; different circumstances bring out different aspects. Apparently, I'm a melting pot of neuroses.

Of all the things in the article, the guy's reaction to @EnjoyTheFilm is the thing making me chuckle. As much as I support this idea, I really can't help but laugh at someone's petty misfortune.
