Then ask for marital status from men as well - Master and Mister. Unfortunately, they are abbreviated the same way, and the honorific Master has fallen into obsolescence. Or just don't ask for it at all. I find it better to let the person determine how they would like to be addressed than limiting it based on my political agenda.
