Just in case, the full text: These journalists, they got it all wrong, I tell ya. They’re waiting for a spectacle, where intrepid new entrepreneurs launch an insurgent website (bookface?) and the disaffected masses desert Facebook like rats

I've heard about Plan Do Check Act before, but isn't it just a glorified/marketing version of the whole scientific process? Design studies to test hypotheses (oftentimes educated guesses), conduct said studies, analyze the results to draw t

I can understand the desire to hack on that, and props to you Swizec, for creating something and sharing it is always cool, but... Well, the final result is quite mind-numbingly narcissistic. I guess it fits current trends in social website

If Apple were to only include full support on new devices, it would feel the wrath of the entire tech press, not to mention organizations like Consumer Reports and Greenpeace. Not really, no. For example, h264 is hardware-accelerated on n

Soo... What I get is: John McCarthy is the inventor of Lisp, the language we all tell ourselves we'll learn one day. Lisp is used in Emacs macro. However, I honestly don't get what's going on here. Is that a subtle troll against Perl? Just

The article is very critical of Rémi Denis-Courmont, but isn't it Apple's own fault in the end? They're the ones who decided to make the App Store license incompatible with the GPL.

And yet this is still a brute force (or dictionary) attack. WPA-PSK is still secure as long as you're using a long-enough, randomly generated secret.

It wouldn't be the first time Google acquires an influential/"cool" business without a business model, à la YouTube (which apparently isn't actually profitable yet, years after it was created).

The expression is "without further ado", broadly standing for "without any more fuss", and not "without further adieu". "Adieu", borrowed from the French word for "farewell", doesn't make any sense at all in this context. I know it's nitpic

railsforzombies.com used Skywriter. I don't really know how the guys at Envylabs integrated the code or if they modified it at all, but the end result was definitely awesome.

CHDK is an awesome hack. Last time I've heard of it, no DSLRs was supported, only PowerShots. It looks like they managed to get custom firmwares working for the 400D, 550D and the 5D mkII — still all very alpha stage, but that's very good n
