Great to see the SqlAlchemy project get new dedicated maintainers. It's a colossal effort and a huge contribution to the overall Python ecosystem. Kudos to the team!

Why not go sailfish? It also has an android shell that seems to run android apps just fine.

I wonder whether that's due to any technical merit of little endianness or just because of x86's dominance in the desktop/workstation world?

Turkish and Finnish do have the same word structure and very similar sentence characteristics. Both are agglutinative languages with vowel harmony and "floating" word order. Japanese is also agglutinative but lacks vowel harmony.

Actually, the foundation you got with Finnish should be useful if ever you need to learn Turkish, Hungarian or Japanese. Natural languages are like programming languages in a sense -- Haskell doesn't get as much use as C++ but learning

clang is supposed to have a compatible ABI with MSVC as long as you use link.exe for linking. Is this not the case? http://blog.llvm.org/2018/03/clang-is-now-used-to-build-chro...

So can we say that now that the heavy industry has been moved offshore, lowering CO2 emissions won't make as much of an impact on local British jobs? If so the next step should be to analyze the CO2 footprint of the country and start

On principle, I agree with you -- this project should be split into multiple packages. However, it's the distro's job to harmoniously put various open source packages together. It's impossible for package authors to make ever

It mostly depends on how tight you want the coupling between your project and the dependency in question. It can vary between just getting the source files and building them yourself, just like you do with your own stuff, to just using the

My hunch is that Google is trying to migrate away from Android. Flutter is both the abstraction layer to do that and the new SDK for the new platform. If that's the case, it's higly unlikely.

The article is very light on technicalities but as far as I can tell, this expedition is WAY outside the sat territory. Sat divers do perform "seawalk"s during their missions, so they do need to perform the necessary steps to adju

> Your buoyancy decreases as you go deeper (and have more water above you, causing more downward pressure). This statement is wrong on many levels. I'll try to correct just one part: Your buoyancy must NOT decrease as you go deeper.

Actually, you can "fall home" in the ocean. I have no idea what procedures exist in missions that go to extreme depths like these, but if you are a recreational diver (who is not allowed to go below 30m) and you have an emergency

Nothing is stopping you from passing different -std=c++XY arguments to different compilation units in your codebase. I don't know about other compilers but object files compiled with msvc, gcc and clang (the ones I happen to work with)

KDE's Konsole has it at CTRL+ALT+K by default. The command "tput clear" should work everywhere though. And frankly, while obviously more work than a keyboard shortcut, it's not that much of an effort.

We also do something very similar but our version table has two columns: module_name and version. Instead of doing central schema management like in a usual monolith, Every module manages its own schema.
