Most of the US is definitely very regular, the exception being Boston. There was an interesting article about city street orientations. https://geoffboeing.com/2018/07/comparing-city-street-orient...

I don't know what this contains, but many times games cannot be open sourced because they use libraries that would have to be removed before they could open source it.

The console players I know seem to consider mouse and keyboard cheating.

When I was looking for gaming benchmarks the problem I ran into was the games being benchmarked were never actual popular games so they mostly seemed irrelevant.

You don't even need to cheat on consoles, most games come built in with it, I think they call it aim assist. Or you can just use a keyboard and mouse and suddenly your better than all the controller users.

From what I understand, you take the drug before the act of drinking and it stops the habit-forming/positive-reinforcement chemical processes.

I really dislike these maps that use circles. The circles overlap, are hard to reason about spatially and the size seems to be an arbitrary scale without meaning.

The issue is references, if you de-reference in the data function, you can now never change that reference because Vue's reactivity won't see the change. let external = {foo: {bar: 'something'}; new Vue({

Do you mean writing your own get/set observables? I've looked at how Vuex does it and internally it just wraps the data in a Vue instance. https://github.com/vuejs/vuex/blob/dev/src/store.j

I tried grid, but I couldn't ever unlearn the muscle memory of other games. A for attack, S for stop, H for hold position, P for patrol is burned into my hands at this point, trying to overwrite that is fruitless.

I found that Vue 2 was very nice when I was playing with it for simple things as a toy. But as soon as I started to try more complicated things, the reactivity system just fell apart. There are just some fundamental mismatches between how J

Chrome inspector shows the contrast as 5.07 which seems to pass the recommended AA 4.5 threshold. I tried fiddling with the colors in the inspector, if you increase the contrast you start to get something I would describe as burn-in, after

I agree with you, I prefer your structure. I actually wish PHP hadn't added typing, if I wanted that I wouldn't have chosen PHP in the first place.

The bus pass wouldn't be $1.75 if it serviced the rural areas. The economics just don't work with low population density. Look at NJ Transit, in rural areas if you have a train station you get 2-3 commuter trains in the morning on

Looks like a simpler version of Pixi.js without webgl support. I would imagine its probably nicer to use for small games when you don't need webgl performance.

I wish Firefox would enable the SharedArrayBuffer, multi-threaded performance just gets destroyed by postMessage. Transferable helps but only works in situations where both threads dont need the object at the same time.

How long in the family history does it take to lose that ambition/motivation? The colonists back in the day had to have had those same qualities. Maybe even more so with all the added risk and dangers of the time.
