Unfortunately, the labs reside in China. Even if we had hard scientific proof (and consensus, despite many in the scientific community deriving funding from CCP backed sources), it wouldn’t be enough. China would either: 1. Refuse outright

Interesting. But also to GP’s point, I never thought of that perspective. It is quite unsettling to realise the strangeness of odds that it occurred right next to the Wuhan lab...

Most of HN is not qualified either to judge the quality of AI, ML, opsec, renewables or any of a whole host of topics that are actually deeply complex. But that does not mean it does not classify as potentially substantial news, that at lea

Because it makes for a great strawman. “Look, JS tooling is so bloated, just to emit a Hello world!” I‘ve since stopped expecting any level of reason when it comes to HN bashing of modern JS/React/frontend.

Nobody in the world is arguing against the fact that CRA is overkill for a Hello World application. Luckily, that’s not it’s target space. If you engineer frontend applications of even moderate complexity, you will eventually start to pull

If you can manage to remain inside the Expo dev-loop, that personally is my preference for ease and first in class DX. I’ll definitely continue to observe Flutter/Dart, but the investment/payoff doesn’t appear large enough yet for

JSX is a DSL with the ability to opt out into native JavaScript. So most complex JSX is a composition of JSX with JS driving the logical parts. Does Vue’s templating solution offer the same? (Genuine question, haven’t worked with Vue)
