ah, this is great news. Thank you. I have been monitoring this since October last year. Since now freeBSD has it, other BSDs should soon pick that up. I noticed that freeBSD is bit like a 'mothership' as far as package ports go,

Depends on the software requirements you have, and perhaps on the network throughput you need. For example java 11 is not, yet, a native option in any of the BSDs (OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD, DF Bsd).

I wonder if Facebook's opensourcing of BPF [1] 4 months ago had negative affects on F5's competitive advantaages. BPF allows to run user code in kernel modules, so things like packet rewriting and traffic shaping are possible. [2]

I am from Gomel. I was there when that happened. About 70% of the fallout landed were we were (the winds were blowing north that time, so Ukraine's side was bit more spared). Most of the time, I do not want to talk about it, though. Fe

Yes, very much so. Having a C++, GO, Java, RUST, Python and F# IDEs running on Risc-V. Allowing to debug, experiment, without relying on centralized hosting providers -- would be a huge boon to Risc-V. Early adaptors will be developers, tha

Drones with infra-red are already used for using infra-red identification (not bombing the animal, that would be horrible). But perhaps more tech could help too. I think the problem too, is incentives. Everglades is a dangerous place... But
