You can adjust the radius of a circle when the circle tool is selected. You can also place circles centered around a specific point by holding down shift while drawing them.

Maybe some packages may need special attention, like various language runtimes and browsers that normally do JIT compilation to the target architecture. I guess some of these might work in interpreted mode, but not as efficiently.

ldd's implementation relies on the assumption that the loader respects the LD_TRACE_LOADED_OBJECTS environment variable. Do all non-malicious loaders need to respect this environment variable and implement GNU ld.so's behavior?

I like the new look, and even though it doesn't look as compact as the old layout, it might actually work better on a small screen. While the old list looks more compact vertically, it really doesn't use horizontal space well. It

I'm not really familiar with the patent application process, but according to [1] the US patent office does reject application based on prior art. [1] https://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/pac/mpep/s706.

And according to the video it was already patented back then in the US. Hopefully the patent office will reject the application.

This feels analogous to hiding in C++. In C++ by default member functions in a base class don't overload with member functions of the same name in a derived class. They get hidden.

I think the point is that an admin shouldn't configure these executables to be run at a different privilege level, as they are not written with that kind of security consideration in mind at all.

Bar graphs not starting at 0 are misleading, even when the axis are labeled. The point of a bar graph is that you can intuitively compare the visual weights or areas of the bars, which doesn't work if they are cut off. Not labeling the

Possibly. Switching to GPL would probably mean that chromium can no longer use it (I think they use it currently, but I'm not 100% sure). Then they could switch to an other permissively licensed jpeg library that is maintained (is ther

There are probably a ton of projects that depend on libjpeg-turbo, but the first thing that comes to mind are browser vendors. It's probably fair to say that most jpegs are viewed in web browsers. They should really just chip in, or ev

Hopefully you can find a single antenna connection and suitably terminate it (instead of just having it unpopulated). But yeah, no guarantees that this is possible, or terminating all external antenna connectors is sufficient.
