I like pandas but I find it confusing to use. I wouldn't mind sacrificing some speed for ease of use. In particular it would be great to find a library with something similar to pandas' MultiIndex, but a more intuitive behavior. H

Writing scientific code is hard both in C++ and python, but reading and manipulating data and visualizing it is way easier in python. It's also easier to install and use third party libraries.

What you say is interesting, but I don't think the article is flawed. What the article implies is that the correct action is not using, for example, electronic tickets to avoid printing your boarding pass, but instead lobby to ask for

It's a good library, but I have the feeling that it tries to do too many things, or that you can do the same thing in too many different ways.

However, that is gnuplot (I think), not R code. I have not been clear with my question, since I was talking about this parent comment: R may still have an advantage when it comes to plotting simplicity

What is simpler than this? x = arange(0, 2*pi, 1e-2) plot(x, sin(x))

Actually VxWorks uses gcc (and make for the build system). At level A I think you are required that your tests have 100% coverage, at machine instruction level, but I don't remember there must be that kind of fixed relationship between sour

If nobody is grading you (a professor, a tutor, a supervisor, a boss, a customer), how do you know if you education is correct? Your education is correct when you are sure about your education. If you do an exercise, and you are not sure

The most complete and user friendly by a long margin is racket. I remember however some problems with set-car!/set-cdr! in doing the exercises. Maybe you will need to change the language to RSR6 with #lang

I have the same problems with books. I think this is because books tend to cover a lot of material. A short course on the other hand can focus in a self contained subset, which you can expand later.

I think the courses are great to get an idea of what the subject is about. If you face a related problem at least you will know wether it can be efficently solved. It will allow you to speak to an expert in the field at a basic level at lea

There is a repeating pattern I don't understand with these hiring posts: 1. The need for a programmer which is in the top 1%, nothing else will do. 2. How important is to hire that programmer but still they don't have time to read the resum

The best introduction I have seen so far is the Udacity course on robotic cars, although it touches very slightly the Kalman filter. I think the exposition, starting with the general case of bayesian filtering and then deriving from it seve
