I'm probably going to HN hell over this, but there's one aspect that isn't clear about Jetsons: http://anongallery.org/img/9/1/what-was-on-the-ground-in-the...

Nope, it was initially a terminal emulator, which he used to access the large UNIX servers of the university. Initial development was done on Minix.

Yes, it was actually sort of a response to that webpage that said it was not possible to free this cached memory. The cache dropping is actually useful when you are doing benchmarking...

The cache can be cleared via `/proc/sys/vm/drop_caches`. http://linux-mm.org/Drop_Caches

I use cacert.org (free) on my private stuff. Unfortunately they are not included with Mozilla, so leaning towards startssl.com for my public project.

Yeah, this one is a bit improved stack, because it contains fewer pieces in critical places (ie dovecot can do all the authentication + delivery).

There's at least one site I know that raises prices when you are re-visiting the specific flight (via cookie tracking).

This dataset is indeed with very low quality - I spotted multiple duplicates, empty lines and logins without emails. I estimate that there are actually ~80k of unique accounts there. And really not sure whether any of these works.

Peeked at data - lots of duplicates, lots of errors (ie. missing email, empty line, etc). So probably ~80k of accounts. Hopefully someone finds time to do proper analysis.. :)

Quoting Greenspuns tenth law: Any sufficiently complicated C or Fortran program contains an ad-hoc, informally-specified, bug-ridden, slow implementation of half of CommonLisp.

You can do it on regular laptop keyboard too.. Usually the "numpad" is available via "Fn" key - so make sure that Num lock is on and press `Ctrl+Alt+Fn+*`

Would you imagine what happens with speed when all the code is compiled into javascript (megabytes of it) and gets loaded into browsers VM?

I wish these big manufacturers actually start offering the source code from git trees and keep updating them.. These tarballs are usually code drops that happen when device reaches market and are mostly never updated afterwards :(
