Anyone who says only calories matter should try tracking their calories, then eating processed food one day, unprocessed the next. If you stick to the same total calories, you’ll be very hungry the first day.

> anything goes, you can be whatever you feel like and there's no judgement of any of your actions Wow, what a terrible take. If anyone needs religion to live a moral life, I'm glad they have found it and hope they never lose i

I look forward to 2030 when microservices are all the rage. Anyone who avoids the temptation to tear down and rebuild their entire org as a monolith will be way ahead of the curve.

I would like us to eventually get back to hydrogen though. It has more lift and isn't in limited supply. If we can drive around with 20 gallons of gasoline under our butts, we can probably figure out how to fly around with hydrogen abo

The new Nest. Humidity is supported in the Google app, but not through Matter at the moment. No fan control either. I'm hoping that stuff gets added eventually, but I'll be fine even if not.

First Matter vacuum gets my business! I just bought a Matter thermostat on a whim (incentives took the price down to $10) and I'm really impressed. It integrated into Home Assistant in seconds after I scanned a QR code and now the loca

That’s cool and all, but you’re assuming gasoline exists in pools, fully refined, under gas stations. Since you’ve priced in the entire lifecycle of every watt of electricity, now you need to run it again taking into account the mining, ref

https://www.motortrend.com/features/truth-about-electric-car... The takeaway is that any analysis that suggests gas cars are better, at the very least, assumes that gasoline exists in pools just under gas stations. But

If I'm always giving the mugger my gun, why carry it? Seems like the danger from having a gun on my person and in my house vastly outnumbers the chance I become Dirty Harry for an evening, no matter how thrilling that thought is. And I

If Kagi keeps charging, it will never be popular. They could lower their price to $0.99 a year with the same result. And that's a good thing.

I’ve personally ABX tested people who swore up and down that they could spot 128 AAC, even, and they couldn’t. Never found anyone who could. I know they exist, but they are rare, and probably not the folks who say they can.

Naw, you have no free time because you live in a food desert where you can't even walk to get groceries and you're stuck in your car for everything. You're totally dependent on a giant, expensive, resource-intensive monster.
