While I have no problem with an evenings/weekend work sample, I'd only agree to a trial week if I was currently unemployed and desperate. I also choose not to do contract-to-hire, which is the other 'trial period' appro

I know it's been too long and it's an unreasonable position to take, but I'm still upset about Stacker. Add on wasting the purchase of Danger (Sidekicks were amazing), intentionally changing their OS solely to screw with comp

I'm 37. I'm willing to believe there is are two decent reasons for some apparent ageism. I think #2 here is probably in the not-safe-to-share-in-public category, but honest discussion requires embracing one of those every now an

No experience with VirtualBox, but I use OS X in ESXI and VMware Fusion and both of those work for me. Initial installation of OS X can be a challenge - you may need to disable some virtualization features e.g. interrupt remapping and you

It sounds like, by deciding to make a charge based on what amounts to a temporary cache of the balance, there has always been a race condition in the billing code? I would think it would have always been necessary to successfully update th

It's not some invented moral perspective, it's also a very practical concern about what is being taught. Cheating in the form of copying other people's work only works in an artificial environment where everybody is doing the same work - y

The beginning was good, but when you claimed that smart people are certain to not get along with authority you went way out on an unsupported limb. I personally think passion and drive correlate to conflict a lot stronger than intelligence

Why? It has a more clear meaning than just 'understand', and a 'huh' response should be a pretty good filter for an unsuitable candidate.

I believe them when they say that net revenue would go -down- ( https://twitter.com/HBO/status/210390531623227392 ). Right now they have a gigantic sales force by using the sales staff of all the cable and satellite companies, plus they g
