Forget books - the cost of phone calls from/to inmates cannot be justified in this age and day. I can understand the need to limit calls but the cost is simply exploitive to put it mildly.

I’ll finally dig into frontend frameworks like react. I’m an old fart (started as C dev) and assumed it was a fad years ago - even thought no JavaScript was the future. Silly me, now I have to play catch-up.

I thought that the casting & acting for the scene was on purpose to demonize the VIPs / controllers (westerners). Evan costumes were horrible MardiGras masks would have even been a step up.

Same way I would never understand appeal of WWE or super hero movies for that matter. Did you happen to watch Parasite - it’s sorta cut from the same cloth. Curious if it didn’t interest as well.

Hiring process involving multiple decisions makers can drag on- but there’s no excuse for ghosting. I used to ghost people dating-wise to avoid uncomfortable (it’s not you it’s your dog) conversations until I got ghosted myself. It hurt and

I guess you’ll know 3 months in post hiring. But on a serious note - take home assignments (if any) should only be a small part of evaluation.

Your first & the easiest consulting client should be your current employer. Second and third clients should come from your network etc. Don’t fall into freelance sites consulting gigs. It will be minimum wage type of work.

People mentioned cheap property but property taxes in TX are insane… but I guess it helps that they don’t have state income taxes.
