If you ignore the pains for too long, it will do irrepairable damage to your nerves. My timeline was this. I've been programming since 15. I've been on the computer for hours a day, making money freelancing in highschool. I didn&#

If you have carpal tunnel, lifting weights can make things worse. It puts more stress in the narrow canal that your tendons go through, which cause the pain.

I learned to use mouse with my other hand. I was literally forced to one day, out of pain. Took me 2 days to feel normal with it. Nowadays, I juggle back and forth, depending on comfort.

That's crazy. I've seen people implement templating of go files to support generics in Go because it's serves a valuable purpose.

Interesting. Where exactly does it hang? When you create the container, or when you run it?

I'm aware, but the analogy still applies, which was about page-cache in particular.

Imagine a juggler, juggling 5 balls at a time. At a set period of time, he will drop one ball and accept another ball thrown at him. He handles this very well because there is order/cadence. Now imagine asking him to support being thro

I work on embedded Linux systems, which inspired me to write Darch with the same technology I was using for my embedded systems. https://godarch.com/ https://pknopf.com/post/2018-11-09-give-ubuntu-darch

I'd like to share a similar project/tool that I developed. Darch. https://godarch.com/ I essentially use Dockerfiles to build my operating systems. I push them to Docker Hub so that each of my machines have access

I haven't run into a single hospital network where it is banned, so far. You can also use ngrok1, which you can host yourself. It's got the features you'd need. This would get around firewalls.

I have an X11 key listener. When someone reports a problem and they have access to the internet, I have them type "__medxremotedebug". An ngrok process is started, the machine beeps to notify the user that the backdoor is open. I

Except ngrok supports ssh. These projects really need to consider plain TCP connections. It's a deal breaker for me. My company installs ngrok on our embedded devices. When there is an issue, they connect it to the internet, type a key

My house was roach free. Then my mother moved in and I had to put her stuff in the garage. Now I have roaches and I can't seem to get rid of them myself. I need to contact a bug guy. I hope I can be rid of this infestation.

Yup. You never have to compile any native code. The C interop layer is provided by NuGet.

I'm the author. The QtSharp project used technology that couldn't really address the problem (MonoCppSharp). QML.Net is different. It is purely a QML integration (no c++ wrapper), using a C interop. There is extensive unit tests f

I'd argue that you don't need that kind of determinism from docker images. It's nice, but we've been just fine without it.
