A checkbox that says 'Hide comments from noobs' would suffice. I have 41 karma (rarely comment) but have been here 2546 days. Would appreciate being grandfathered in, thanks.

Remarkable to me that people consider Republicans the oppressors of freedom and the Democrats the liberators.

Banks don't really want to be more efficient and charge less fees. Banks are essential to any system (capitalism) that requires a currency. Nobody would want to be a bank if they could not charge fees. No bank would offer loans or any kind

One thing that strikes me is the person with the most coupons happens to be the person with the least amount of need for the coupons. Therefore they will never redeem them and eventually everyone runs out. A true currency (and Bitcoin if i

Just because something has value does not make it a currency. If that coupon ONLY gets you a reduction in price off something then its a discount. Here is another tidbit that makes it not a currency: coupons are intended to not be redeemed

Coupons are not currency. They were trading coupons of 1 hour babysitting to save from spending real currency on hours of babysitting.

If enough people say they are done with 40+ hour work weeks and only will do 35 companies will adapt. So far there has not been enough people willing to do so.

You make it sound like a community college education and 90's Honda are bad things to have. They might not be as nice as your neighbor but it's certainly nicer than 100 years ago, no?

Why does capitalism have to lift anyone out of poverty? The opportunity to own assets and control your own production sometimes provides the means to do so. Just because enough impoverished people are not becoming rich per year does not mea

I don't disagree. Some get upset about governments and banks "printing money." My point was they are not upset/concerned to do so as it benefits them.
