They've said only 2% of accounts are paid. Sharing is a cornerstone of what DropBox is. Restrict sharing to only the 2%?

You are missing something. A person could conceivably create a ton of free accounts then fill them to the free space limitations. Share it with their primary account and then they have unlimited free space.

I guess I still don't understand how Appcelerator knew who the 'design agency' was for the end client. Was the app advertised as being built in Titanium by XYZ firm for ABC firm? To follow up on my original point: The OP makes it seem like

Looks cool. I personally use my inbox as a pseudo-task list or ongoing task list most of the time. That being said you run into the issue of tasks that aren't emails. Do you email yourself? Create a new task that is an email? Do you create

Appcelerator is open source for the sake of being considered open source. They certainly are not in business to promote businesses using their open source for free.

How does Appcelerator know who wrote the app? They see an app from a company that offends their licenses, they contact the app owner (not necessarily the developer). Seems legit to me.

I dunno. I mean I think it's all true minus the part about the customers talking to each other and then talking to him.

Your points are valid however nobody on Kickstarter makes a guarantee of transparency or even fraud-less behavior. The skepticism or desire for transparency here stems directly from the service they say they provide. One shouldn't be cynica

This is a terrible article that basically says hope is not enough to change market dynamics. How numerous comments degenerated into capitalism vs socialism only further proves the original point. Everybody wants something for nothing.

Apple removed it because more and more of their client apps are just desktop versions of iCloud. iCloud isn't getting RSS syncing anytime soon.

Have you ever tried to write an interoperable authentication system using Active Directory? I'm particularly thinking of the UDP LDAP query and the multiple-byte-order (little-endian and big-endian!) response. That doesn't disprove my poi

I don't understand any of this. Microsoft develops and publishes 'protocols' (used lightly) and everyone hates them because they are pushing workable code out on everyone else... Bunch of people in a committee take three years trying to bui

My only feedback to that is I'm not sure it's your place as survey company to guarantee anything to my customers. I'm just hiring you to get the form filled out, you should let me handle the rest. Kudos to separate processing however.

If I pay you to donate, do I get to write off my taxes? Why not just pay you 25 cents per respondent with a commitment I'll donate to charity and let me decide if I want to do good or not.

Remember that Microsoft has part ownership of Facebook and Skype video chat is integrated into Facebook.

Everyone is missing the point. If Microsoft buys Yahoo they now control three very large IM networks: Windows Live (MSN), Yahoo, and Skype.

I think it's kinda lame how everyone goes over there and bashes the poor guy about "Duh Microsoft is dying" or "Paul is right!" or "You can't control the Internetz!!!" Please, this is a well paid executive. He has business meetings with
