To my understanding, the time limit of fission is mostly due to political/security reasons. Of course keeping it indefinitely on will require huge maintenance costs but if the infrastructure is modular enough to be able to replace ever

Fusion is cool and all but it will not save us from anything. We already have enough tech to make emission free and cheap electricity. "All" we need is political action to build more clean power plants (nuclear, solar …) and conti

I mean, I’m amazed by LLMs. But what you describe is basically done by any human on Earth : you are born not knowing how to read or how to talk and after years of learning, reading all the books may give you some understanding of the world.

Once upon a time, I loved buying my games on GOG, most of the time at full price. But then I’ve been burnt more than I should by developers who then forgot that this platform exists and go all in on their Steam customers : cross play ? That

Never tried on my Mac, but on iPad, it’s totally automatic : the iPad automatically tells the iPhone to enable the hotspot (over Bluetooth I presume) then connects to it.

Even cheaper and I like it a lot : a balance board [0]. It allows me to have my muscle to work even when I’m standing still. It’s in fact pretty pleasant. I also tried roller skates (detachable [1]) and it’s also pretty nice. More stable th

Europe did (mostly) nothing during and after the previous Trump presidency. I don’t see how it could be different. And it’s not like Europe was currently in a good state politically speaking.

In absolute, I agree with you. But personally if I had to chose between tax evasion (permitted by those schemes) and having less multinational companies because it’d be more difficult… well, my country was doing pretty okay before multinati

Your analogy doesn’t work. Your neighbor is not you. $COMPANY is $COMPANY all around the world and if $COMPANY wants to do business in $COUNTRY (which is not an obligation, they choose to), then yes, they have to entirely cooperate with $CO

You mean you have bugs on a system that isn’t announced as production ready yet ? I tested Asahi and I genuinely love it and I’ll probably be happy to use it as my daily driver as soon as it will be mature enough. And I’m impressed by how i
