It may be that the lack of broadcom Linux drivers is starting to have some effect, at least at the high end? The new Dell 13" XPS comes with an atheros supported wifi device - I guess Dell got tired of having to create an entirely sepe

SafetyNet passes on my Nexus 4 running an unrooted currentish CyanogenMod nightly build. Haven’t tried any other Android custom roms.

You can unroot CyanogenMod running on the Nexus 4 & Pokemon Go will run just fine. You have to give the SuperSU app root privileges in order to unroot ironically, but it works just fine & you can always root your system from the boo

Split, or crushed? Helmets absorb the energy of an impact by crushing - it’s a destructive process. It might have protected you from cuts & abrasions, but if it didn’t crush then it didn’t absorb any of the impact.

:) As an aside, the content type for that URL is application/octet-stream, so Firefox won’t view the image but insists on downloading it. It needs to be image/png to be viewable in browser I believe.

The capacity error is fixable by using hdparm to secure erase the drive which as a side effect restores it’s original capacity. You still lose all your data though :(

autotools is pretty great for the end-user who wants to compile your code or the distributor who wants to package it up for Debian or whatever. It’s a crawling horror for the programmer that wants to use autotools as the build solution for
