As an aside, that advert for the Rolex GMT Master Chronometer says the price for the steel model is $255 USD. Today that watch lists for $9,250. Adjusted for inflation, $255 in 1970 would be only about $1700 today.

Depending on the source of your anxiety you might find that "Enlightenment Now!" by Steven Pinker is helpful. It was for me with my anxiety about the course of humankind.

I can see a difference between pairs of each screen shot. I'm pretty confident though that I won't be able to tell when I don't have these nice comparison images, or care about the difference in practice.

Erlang is also simple to learn! Simpler, I think, than Elixir just because Erlang is a simpler language. It’s the concepts that Erlang and Elixir share that take the most effort to lean.

Well, it's very similar to Scala's pattern matching. Not as elegant as Erlang or Haskell's. Objective-C, which is what Swift is being compared to here, doesn't have pattern matching. An attempt to write something similar

I write in both ObjC and Swift. It takes more than a few hours to get used to both languages but it’s also true that you get used to both. I prefer the relative terseness of Swift and also find the language more elegant and safer than ObjC.
