I think you overlook how algorithms come about. How does GPT write novel code, which are algorithms?

Psychology is cognitive. Doesn't seem principled to discard that at all.

Why is a deterministic algorithm not reasoning? Reasoning is very deterministic.

Nah, human failures look equally nonsensical. You're just more attuned to use their body language or peer judgement to augment your reception. Really psychotic humans can bypass this check.

Would be good to put equivalent grades on LLM's then. Instead of GPT-4o, it's GPT-11th grade.

More than that, "ruliad" is complete vacuous, too. "All possible rules applied to all possible states infinitely many times", like, every possible theory, including the right one is in it, ok... thanks for defining this

As usual with Wolfram, too hand-wavy. It could be true but this is not serious physics.

Whoever is using it as digital gold certainly sees economic value, e.g. preserving wealth to invest elsewhere.

It's a psychological game. People are primed to want new things, and more investment into something old is hard to justify even if it's financially right. Also OS's lose supprt, softwares bloat, and bundled offers from carrie

Wire transfer is not really the point. It became a topic because that was posed as an "instant" way to get money out of a brokerage. I pointed out it isn't always reliable and that unreliability is a symptom of a real liquidi

Keep some funds in a marginable brokerage account attached to a major bank, one with physical locations. That way if you really need funds immediately during banking hours you're good to go.

You need to get the money to an actual bank, an extra hop is just extra delay and cause for problems. See links to examples of failed wire transfer below.

Wire can easily get held up for unknown amounts of time with no recourse. A brokerage attached to a real bank is the only liquid solution for large amounts. Everything else is on an ACH timeframe, which is usually next day with push, but th

That's disingenuous. Menu being on Disney's website makes Disney more than a landlord, more like a service provider. Is Disney responsible for what's on its site or not? What if the menu had some hate speech or terrorism?

The plaintiff is arguing an equally absurd notion, that because they are suing on behalf of the estate, the estate never signed up for Disney+ because it didn't exist before the death. So you know, it's all absurdity vs absurdity.
