https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy48v1x4dv4o I really don't buy it, it just looks like an awkward gesture. From the article: But the Anti-Defamation League, an organisation founded to combat antisemitism,

Even more amazing, is one of our friends is a doctor (general practitioner) and she never suggested it. Though she did say old people tend to just develop dementia and it's probably that (my gran lived to 97). It's the coming and

Well this is a holy shit moment for me. My grand mother was having really strange hallucinations, like explaining how she was talking to people on TV and the neighbours came round and joined in too. I had never heard about the infection thi

Or the press pretending that it was a nazi salute, outrage sells.

Yep. It's the feeling of being in constant high alert the whole way through the airport. I regularly take a 40 min flight and it leaves me exhausted because of this. My theory anyway!

It does not seem fair to me to exclude or include people in financial aid programs based on the colour of their skin. Individual circumstances seems like a much fairer and much less divisive system.

Bit hazy now, but at work every time an LTS change happens the first team to do it publishes it's notes on how it fixed various issues. Off the top of my head I remember a problem with swagger, but to be fair that's a third party

This hasn't been the case for me at all, the jumps between lts releases have burnt a lot of my time figuring out how to fix broken things. Though c# is definitely my favourite language to work in :)

Again you haven't addressed the point I've made.

by pipes 2y ago
You haven't addressed what I said. You've identified a problem (let's just assume you are correct about the problem for arguments sake). I've pointed out the problem with current "solution": making decisions a

Genuine question, as far as I can tell there seems to be some debate currently about weather high saturated fat diets are linked with heart disease. Does atherosclerosis fall into this debate too?

Do the steam deck pads achieve the same thing?

by pipes 2y ago
I wish valve would do a steam laptop that's just steamdeck in a laptop. I'm surprised how good the steamdeck is. I'm considering replacing my pc with steamdeck + dock + external hard disc.

The local part is my big problem too. I used azure Dev ops in work. I find clicking through the UI to be a miserable experience, Id love to have it running locally so I could view inputs and outputs on the file system. Also yaml is an awful

This reminds me, I remember back in early 2000s hex editing games to force 60hz on my PAL Dreamcast. This looks like a similar idea. Thanks. To be honest I now pretty much just play Dreamcast games via the redream emulator on my steam deck

I've got one of those, bought and installed it a few years ago. Unfortunately it doesn't work with all games. Maybe that has been fixed, but was very annoying to find that hydro thunder didn't work!

I have worked through this book. Well 11 out of the 12 chapters. I learn so much from it. As an extra exercise for the reader, it suggests connecting it to the internet somehow. I've no idea how I would do this and I really wish they&#
