Well I made a command-line Go program that processed a 10+GB XML file, made some computations, and put it in a JSON Redis structure. It had zero bugs, with months of development. I made it myself, so you can have zero bugs if you do thing

Self-hosting is pointless. Go has it--who cares. I wrote a program 1000x faster than the ruby one (at work) with zero bugs in Go, but I still don't want to use it(Go). Java is fine. Do I care if Java is self-hosting? No. I'l

Perhaps you don't have the aptitude to teach that particular kid? It's harder to look inwards, though.

I was doing x86 assembly coding as a teenager, and certainly didn't need nudging. I also taught myself calculus, physics, and even material engineering. I don't see any problem with kids coding. It looks like other people are c
