Wonderful! Could you provide a diagram or explanation? I've never been able to do it reliably, only by random luck.

Regarding "Mint's old cert": as many people have pointed out elsewhere, new server certificates can be backdated, so an old date is not in and of itself indicative of a problem.

That's actually a very helpful piece of information, as I hadn't noticed the tiny RedHat line at the bottom--thank you! But it still leaves open the original question about advantages/disadvantages vs. CoreOS.

I'd actually welcome a new post about this issue, which I haven't known much about before. However, this is the wrong thread. Good luck.

You're right that Zite has little innovative tech, but--for me--it just works slightly better in a variety of subtle ways that give it an edge over other apps. Sometimes that's all it takes.

Help me understand why I should rely on the privacy of this app, if the OS on which it's running is untrusted. Wouldn't it be trivial for Apple (or iOS malware) to record keystrokes?

I have no idea about the Amanda Knox case, but one thing I have learned in life is to be skeptical of anyone as arrogant as the author of this piece.

This model is similar to that of alice.com, which just folded. I liked them because they shipped "normal" size products (not the mega-bulk sizes Amazon ships now via S&S) -- but you needed six products together to ship.

I suspect it does, in fact. If you've got to travel with a rolled up foil-lined rug anyway, might as well make it pretty.

If the core issue is one of trust, I don't at all understand why people would trust you more than the charities they're already suspicious of. What am I missing? What assurances can you provide that the charities themselves do

I love the new, "And if you quoted this in the NY Times, will you do a correction for the now changed text?" line. That wasn't there when the NYT story broke, obviously. Very clever.

This is such a glaring weakness of the iPhone's current mute function. I can't believe we need a hacky hardware dongle to provide it. But given that we're at that place, this is about as good a solution as I've seen for those times when yo

I don't understand. As along as the extension passes power through, it shouldn't matter if the other end of the cable you plug into them is dock or lightning connector, right? The reviews seem to indicate as much, since people report succ

As ernardom points out above (below? predict-o-karma where are you!), this involved much more intellectually serious errors than just the calculation bug. They both missed (or possibly cherry-picked) countries and misweighted them.
