Just because hiring is subjective doesn't mean everyone is equally subjective with respect to race/gender/etc. I mean, aesthetics are subjective too but most people prefer not to have poo on a pedestal in their living room. You can find str

I think you're missing my point, which is that the performance range of people with "all four limbs and normal (or above) coordination and muscle capabilities" is at least as great as the performance range of people with diverse injuries.

Doesn't this imply that you can no longer update MacOS without an Apple ID? That would be a huge (and unfortunate) change.

I've said this before, but my experience with VMWare is that they do a very good job estimating the TCO of N physical servers and then they charge you such that it's ~90% of that cost to virtualize them. I.e., VMWare is usually a better de

+1 for Spootnik. I love the sparse design and RESTful API -- and the developer is very helpful with issues and feature requests. (I am just a customer; I don't know or have any other relationshop with the developer.)

I'd be willing to forgo that ability in order to reduce the necessary permissions. As as aside, is there any way for users to verify or view what specific data an extension actually accessed? (I'm assuming not.)

Nice. Why does it need so many permissions? My physical location, I understand -- but "access to my data on google.com" and all my "tabs and browsing activity"? No way.

It might be a good idea for large companies like Dropbox--or frankly, anyone storing email addresses--to include a handful of (long, random, unguessable) canary addresses in their user DB which sound a high alarm if they ever receive email.

I agree. But as an aside, if your water heater's closet floorspace was counted in your square footage I believe you were ripped off. Square-footage figures aren't supposed to include that. I would love to be corrected if I'm wrong.
