I'm not sure GDPR applies if they're not using any third party services. That's the thing with GDPR compliance, if you're already doing things right it doesn't really change anything, you don't even need to ask

I've always preferred Windows binaries for closed stuff to Linux ones. If you're not going to open source you thing then don't even bother developing Linux Binaries, we'll just run it in Wine.

I had a Zarus at the time. It could run X11 and java apps and even had a self hosting dev environment. The iPhone was mostly a regression from that.
